In the Home — Mini Fountain
My husband and I are outdoorsy people. We love being out in nature, whether surrounded by towering trees and fields of wildflowers or salty sea air on a sandy beach. And we are so fortunate to live within walking distance of both. At the same time, we live in the heart of a busy city. We have a small home with no yard, as most folks in the city probably do. So that has forced us to become more creative about bringing a bit of nature into our home while making the most of our small space.
One way we have done that is with this adorable solar powered In the Home — Mini Fountain. Even on foggy days, this little fountain still does its thing. We put it in a 14″ pot surrounded by spearmint plants, which it waters with every spurt. So easy! I fill the fountain with the day-old water from our cat’s water bowl, which I used to pour into the sink. And with the constant drought risk around here, the less water wasted, the better!
This video was taken around 10 AM on a partly sunny morning in May while I was sitting at my usual working spot, looking to the left. As you can see, the abandoned building next door is less than lovely, so we desperately needed something pretty to look at instead! Plus, a handful of sweet little birds often stop by and seem to enjoy the water, too.
